Asian Broccoli Kebab

Ingredients:

2 bunches broccoli
3 Portobello mushroom heads
1 large cooking onion
1/2 cup Hoisin sauce
1 tbsp. oyster sauce
1 tsp. honey
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 cup peanuts, crushed

Chop broccoli, mushrooms and onion. Cut broccoli by the stem, into large heads, and cut the mushrooms into large wedges. Chop the ends off of the onion and cut it in quarters and separate the layers.

Fill a large pan with salt water and bring to a boil. Steam each vegetable in the pan seperately.

Put an assortment of the vegetables on skewers and set aside.

In a small bowl mix the Hoisin and oyster sauce, honey, and garlic. Using an oil brush, stroke and dab each skewer with the sauce so each vegetable is covered.

If crushing your own peanuts, place them in a zip lock bag and smash them with a heavy object. Sprinkle on top of the skewers.

Serve as is, or heat them up on the grill!
